Analyst Confidence and Market Leadership
Leading brokerage houses such as Aditya Birla Money, BP Wealth, and Ventura Securities have assigned a ‘Subscribe’ rating to the issue. Analysts highlighted Midwest’s four-decade legacy in granite extraction and processing, commanding a 64% share of India’s Black Galaxy Granite export market during FY25. The company’s Absolute Black Granite accounted for 15.7% of the nation’s total production.
The firm’s strength lies in its vertically integrated operations—exploration, mining, processing, marketing, and export—anchored in sustainable practices. In addition to natural stone, Midwest manufactures diamond wire, a high-precision cutting tool used in mining and construction. This dual focus caters both to captive needs and wider industry demand.
Strategic Diversification into High-Growth Segments
At the upper price band, the IPO values the company at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 30x. Analysts note that Midwest’s diversification into quartz and heavy mineral sand (HMS) segments marks a major strategic pivot toward high-value industries such as solar glass, electric vehicles (EVs), aerospace, and semiconductors.
This expansion aligns closely with India’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” mission and comes amid global supply chain realignments, opening lucrative new opportunities. Market experts believe these new verticals will meaningfully contribute to revenues and bolster long-term profitability.
Financial Strength and Growth Momentum
Midwest’s financial performance underscores its strong fundamentals. For the June 2025 quarter, the company reported revenue from operations of ₹142.3 crore and net profit of ₹24.4 crore.
For the full year FY25, Midwest clocked revenue of ₹626.2 crore, up from ₹502.5 crore in FY23, while net profit soared to ₹133.3 crore from ₹54.4 crore over the same period—reflecting robust growth and operational efficiency.
Operational Excellence and Sustainability Focus
The company operates 16 active granite mines across six locations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, producing premium varieties such as Black Galaxy, Absolute Black, and Tan Brown. It also runs one major granite processing facility each in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Beyond its operational mines, Midwest has built a resource base spanning 25 locations across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, ensuring long-term raw material security.
Its newly commissioned Quartz Processing Unit (Phase 1) boasts a capacity of 303,000 metric tonnes per annum, enabling the production of titanium feedstock materials such as rutile and ilmenite, along with rare earth element processing—key inputs for high-tech manufacturing.
The company emphasizes environmentally responsible mining, water recycling, and energy-efficient operations, aligning with global sustainability norms while enhancing export competitiveness.
IPO Management and Outlook
Dam Capital Advisors, Intensive Fiscal Services, and Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors are the book-running lead managers to the issue, while Kfin Technologies Limited serves as the registrar.
Analysts expect the strong subscription to translate into a robust listing debut, reflecting both the company’s leadership in the granite export market and investor confidence in its forward-looking diversification strategy.
As India’s construction, infrastructure, and high-tech sectors expand, Quartz Processor Midwest Ltd appears poised to consolidate its dominance in natural stone exports while stepping firmly into the advanced materials domain—marking a rare blend of tradition and transformation in India’s industrial growth story.
