Creator-led bootcamp blends studio mastery with real-world tourism shoots

HYDERABAD, Dec 31 (The CONNECT) — In a sharp pivot towards creator-led tourism promotion, the Tourism Committee of Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) is hosting a first-of-its-kind Tourism Reel / Shorts Making Bootcamp, blending studio-grade training with real-world, on-location execution.

Scheduled for January 17 at CreatorWerse, Jubilee Hills, the three-hour, high-intensity workshop (10 am to 1 pm) is designed to convert everyday travellers into confident digital storytellers. What sets it apart: participants don’t stop at theory. After in-studio training, they will step outdoors a week later, on January 24, to shoot across three tourism locations, applying their learning in live conditions.

The bootcamp is strategically aligned with FTCCI’s ongoing Weekend Tourism Reel Contest, and aims to raise both participation and content quality around Hyderabad’s short-haul travel circuit—staycations, heritage trails, food routes, nature escapes and adventure spots.

Partnering FTCCI is CreatorWerse, billed as India’s first content factory, offering an unusually hands-on learning environment. Participants will create content inside its 52 purpose-built Story Rooms, equipped with professional lighting, backdrops and creator-friendly tools—access that is rarely opened to the public.

The workshop will be led by Dr. Mani Pavitra, Founder of CreatorWerse, an ISB alumnus and serial entrepreneur whose work spans content creation, mentoring and social impact. The training focuses squarely on outcomes: how to hook viewers in the first three seconds, structure a compelling travel narrative, shoot efficiently on a smartphone, edit for pace, and optimise reels for platform algorithms.

Crucially, the bootcamp is built for beginners as well as tourism stakeholders—resort owners, homestay hosts, tour operators, guides, vloggers and solo travellers—anyone looking to use short-form video to promote destinations or businesses. Participants will learn scripting, shooting, editing and publishing in a single, tightly run day.

The program is capped at 50 participants and is priced at a nominal ₹500, positioning it as one of the most accessible creator-led tourism initiatives in the country. Beyond skills, FTCCI sees the bootcamp as a community play—bringing together travel creators and tourism entrepreneurs, and seeding future collaborations.

Winners of the FTCCI Weekend Tourism Reel Contest stand to gain cash prizes worth ₹50,000, making the bootcamp a direct pipeline to competitive entries.

Registrations are open on a first-come basis. For details, contact FTCCI’s Tourism Committee at 98480 42020 or 91210 00199.
