Industry seeks faster approvals, transparency, tech-led infrastructure planning
NEW DELHI, Jan 15 (The CONNECT) — Infrastructure developers and technology leaders are calling on Union Budget 2026 to pair sustained public investment with deep regulatory and digital reforms to unlock the next phase of growth across emerging cities.
Vishal Raheja, Founder & MD, InvestoXpert Advisors, said infrastructure-led development in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities is reshaping real estate demand beyond metros. “But complex approvals, fragmented land records and inconsistent valuation standards continue to delay execution and weaken buyer confidence,” Raheja said.
Sunil Sisodiya, Founder & CEO, Neworld Developers, highlighted opportunities in India’s growing rental and holiday-home segment, particularly in high-tourism coastal markets. “Policy frameworks must recognise the convergence of hospitality and residential real estate to sustain investment momentum,” Sisodiya said.
Pete Nicholson, Senior Vice President, Nemetschek Group, underlined the urgency of digital adoption in infrastructure development. “Despite rapid expansion of highways and urban infrastructure, recent safety and climate-related incidents show the need for data-driven planning and predictive maintenance,” Nicholson said, urging incentives for digital engineering and open standards.
