Universal Brotherhood Day With Mini-Walkathon

Telangana unit of Freemasons spread the message – Say No To drugs

HYDERABAD, June 23 (The CONNECT) – Ahead of Universal Brotherhood Day (UBD) being observed tomorrow, Freemasons of Telangana today organised a mini-Walkathon here themed “Masons Against Drug Abuse”.

Freemasonry is the 307-year-old global fraternal organization that unites men of good character who, though of different religious, ethnic or social backgrounds, share a belief in the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of mankind.

The Telangana unit held a half-kilometer walk from GPO, Abids, to Mozamjahi Market to highlight the brotherhood among the members of the society and promote the importance of values in our society as well to convey a strong message to say no to drugs.

Nearly 100 members, with their spouses and family members took part in the walk holding placards with such as messages to say no to drugs. Freemasons Assistant Regional Grand Masters such as Anil Desai; P.Veerabhadrudu; Manchala Ramesh, Dr Srirang Abkari and P. Raj Narsing Rao the flagged off the run.
