IPRS-Swarathma fusion multu-city tour now in progress
HYDERABAD, June 20 (The CONNECT)– IPRS (Indian Performing Rights Society Ltd.), leading music copyright society in India representing authors, composers and publishers of music, has recently teamed up with Swarathma, the acclaimed Indian folk-fusion band from Bangalore, for a multicity tour focusing on championing sustainability.
Having already toured Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad, they will continue their journey in Indore, Gurgaon, Jaipur, and Chandigarh. This tour supports the promotion of sustainable practices and careers in the music industry.
With a commitment to powering the sound systems of their performances with a portable clean energy system instead of traditional diesel generators, Swarathma is setting a new standard for environmentally conscious concerts.
This tour is more than just a series of performances.
The initiative aligns with IPRS’s ‘My Music My Rights’ campaign, aimed at empowering music creators in the digital world.
IPRS will be hosting exclusive sessions for upcoming creators and independent artists in each city before the concerts, offering insights into music rights, royalties, and sustainable career development.
These interactive sessions will provide a platform for creators to engage with the IPRS and Swarathma team, resolve their queries, and gain essential knowledge for building a successful career in music and boosting their earnings through royalties.
Jishnu Dasgupta of the Swarathma Band hopes to reach artists, particularly younger musicians, to make them aware of their rights and safeguard their artistic futures.
