195/195 – Telugu Man Ravi Prabhu’s Globe Trotting Score

“I hardly come across tourism promotion of any of the Telugu states,” he says.

HYDERABAD, July 31 (The CONNECT) – Ravi Prabhu, a Telugu man, has just accomplished the task of visiting every country in the World. He is certified as one of the less than 300 people who has achieved this gargantuan feat.

Ravi has spent 9 days in Venezuela marking it his last country, and his travel accomplishments have been verified by the most astute travelers of Nomad Mania. Nomad Mania has ranked Ravi to be the #1 traveler hailing from India. He also happened to be the most travelled Telugu guy in the World.

Ravi Prabhu also documents his travels through social media and has a popular YouTube channel named, ‘RAVI TELUGU TRAVELLER”. With over 7.86 lakh subscribers, and a huge fan following, Ravi hails from Vishakhapatnam, and studied in Hyderabad (Hyderabad Central University, studied Master in Political Science during the year years 1994-1996) is on a visit to Hyderabad (on the way to Bhutan, his first country from where he started his journey and would like to end there) and would like to interact with some select media.

He is the first Telugu man to have travelled to every country and probably one of few Indians to have this rare distinction.

Interacting with the media today at FTCCI, he said so far 600 plus people from all over the world have gone into space, 6600 people scaled Mount Everest and only 280 out of 850 crore people of the world visited every country.

Ravi reached this distinction after 27 years of hard work.  He had invested well over Rs 25 crore on these journeys.  He has been travelling for the past 20 years and now resides in the USA

He accomplished a little over 30 lakh air miles (the distance equal to travelling eight times to the Moon) across over 1000 airlines. He invested a lot of his hard-earned money on those trips.

Now that he accomplished his lifetime dream, he would like to focus on knowledge sharing. He wants to visit educational institutions and share his vast knowledge. He will also focus on writing the book.

To quote Ravi: “I am even willing to be the face of any Tourism Department of a state or destination. I would like to help organizations in promoting tourism. When I travel abroad, I see a lot of Rajasthan, Kerala and Orissa Tourism promotions. But I hardly come across the tourism promotion of any of the Telugu states”.
