Advanced care provides relief where major surgery was too dangerous.
Chennai, 31st October 2025: For a 58-year-old woman from Chennai, even the simplest moments—walking across a room, stepping out into the sunlight, laughing with her family—had slowly become impossible. Breathlessness, swollen feet, and overwhelming fatigue marked her days. She had severe mitral valve regurgitation, a condition where the heart valve does not close properly, causing blood to leak backward and the heart to strain harder every day.
Her health challenges were complicated further by kidney failure requiring dialysis, along with liver and heart problems. “We were afraid of losing her. Nothing seemed to help anymore,” her daughter said.

The procedure was performed by Prof. Dr Ajith Pillai, Chief Cardiologist and HOD. “We saw the difference almost immediately,” he said. “Her breathing eased, the strain on her heart reduced, and her energy began returning. For patients who cannot undergo open-heart surgery, MyClip is a bridge back to life.”
Today, the woman is able to walk around her home, chat with her family, and smile without struggling for breath. “It feels like someone lifted a weight off my chest,” she shared quietly. “I got my life back.”
