Expands Hyderabad facility, boosts biological inputs, soil health, farmer sustainability
HYDERABAD, Jan 17, 2026 — Koppert Sustainable Solutions (India) Pvt. Ltd. on Friday announced the inauguration of its expanded Mycorrhiza Production Facility at IDA Bollaram, a move aimed at meeting rising demand for sustainable, biological agricultural inputs while strengthening local manufacturing capacity in India.
The expansion enables Koppert to scale up production of mycorrhizal solutions, beneficial soil microorganisms that enhance nutrient uptake, improve soil health, and increase crop resilience. The development is expected to help Indian farmers reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers while maintaining productivity through eco-friendly, science-led alternatives.
Koppert Sustainable Solutions India is a joint venture between AgriLife India and Koppert BV of the Netherlands, a global leader in biological solutions for sustainable agriculture.
A mycorrhiza production facility manufactures naturally occurring soil fungi that form symbiotic relationships with plant roots. These fungi improve plants’ ability to absorb water and nutrients, leading to stronger crop growth, better yields, and long-term soil fertility. By improving efficiency at the root level, mycorrhizal solutions also lower environmental impact by reducing chemical input requirements.
The expanded facility marks a key milestone in Koppert’s commitment to regenerative and environmentally responsible farming practices in India. The enhanced capacity positions the company to better serve the growing adoption of biological inputs across Indian agriculture.
