Entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers come together at TiE’s flagship Hyderabad summit
Hyderabad, Oct 31 (The CONNECT) – The Telangana government reinforced its commitment to enabling enterprise growth as the Hyderabad Entrepreneurship Summit (HES 2025) began at Hitex Exhibition Centre, organised by TiE Hyderabad in partnership with the Government of Telangana. The two-day summit, themed “Transforming Tomorrow, Together,” brings together more than 1,500 entrepreneurs, investors, corporates, policymakers, and ecosystem enablers, reflecting Hyderabad’s rise as a leading innovation and startup hub.
Speaking at the inauguration, Nikhil Chakravarthi, Director (Industries), Government of Telangana, highlighted that the state is deregulating provisions under the Factories Act and Labour Act to further ease business operations and create flexible industrial zones that enhance competitiveness. He added that Telangana is also actively implementing the District Reform Action Plan (DRAP) under the national Ease of Doing Business initiative to streamline clearances, improve service delivery, and strengthen investor confidence across districts.
A key announcement at the summit was the launch of the Hyderabad Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Collective (HEEC), a collaborative platform led initially by TiE Hyderabad to foster seamless cooperation among startups, academia, investors, incubators, and industry bodies. The collective will operate through a rotational leadership model among participating institutions to ensure continuity and inclusivity.
The Government of Telangana and TiE Hyderabad also entered into a strategic MoU to accelerate 500 high-potential SMEs across the state under the “500 to 5X Growth Mission.” The initiative aims to help enterprises in the ₹25–₹50 crore turnover range achieve five-fold growth through mentorship, capital access, and market linkages. It is projected to generate three to five lakh new jobs, supported by a dedicated SME Acceleration Cell, a Capital Access Clinic, and regional mentoring hubs.
TiE Hyderabad President Rajesh Pagadala and TiE Global Chair of Trustees Murali Bukkapatnam emphasised that the summit aligns with TiE’s broader mission to nurture scalable entrepreneurship and global business leadership. The day also featured the launch of TiE50 Telangana, powered by Qualcomm, along with awards recognising entrepreneurial excellence and a networking evening for founders and investors.
The summit continues tomorrow with over 100 speakers across 25 sessions covering DeepTech, HealthTech, Defence and Aerospace, AI and Industry 4.0, family enterprise leadership, and women and university startup pitch tracks, alongside an expo of more than 80 startups.
