HYDERABAD, Jan 24, 2026: Rahul Attuluri, CEO and Co-Founder of Hyderabad-based edtech startup NxtWave, met several senior Indian political leaders on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, underscoring the growing role of AI-led skilling in India’s global technology positioning.
During the summit, Attuluri held discussions with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Union Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, focusing on workforce transformation, AI-driven education and the need for industry-ready talent as artificial intelligence adoption accelerates globally.
Attuluri, the only edtech founder from Hyderabad invited to WEF Davos this year, also engaged with global CEOs, policymakers and business leaders, sharing insights on emerging AI trends.
He noted a clear shift among enterprises towards small language models and task-specific AI agents that are faster, more efficient and better suited for real-world deployment than large, generic systems, marking a move beyond AI as a purely conversational tool to one that delivers complex outcomes.
He highlighted that India’s biggest opportunity lies in deploying such models on basic mobile devices and in regions with limited connectivity, enabling inclusive, last-mile AI adoption at scale. Attuluri also pointed to the growing impact of AI-driven learning models in creating industry-ready talent from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, helping students overcome language and access barriers to build advanced solutions for global companies.
Sharing takeaways from Davos, Attuluri said partnering with Bharat is no longer optional but essential for success in the AI era, adding that NxtWave has initiated high-level discussions with multiple governments and leading technology companies and is now moving towards deeper collaborations to co-create next-generation upskilling solutions aligned with global innovation ecosystems.
