Investors Embrace Tax-Efficient Hybrid Long-Short Strategy Confidently
MUMBAI, Oct 16, 2025 (The CONNECT) – Edelweiss Mutual Fund’s Altiva SIF platform has marked a strong debut with the successful closure of its first fund, the Altiva Hybrid Long-Short Fund, raising approximately ₹320 crores. The robust subscription underscores growing investor confidence in innovative, tax-efficient investment solutions designed to deliver consistent outcomes across varied market conditions.
Radhika Gupta, MD & CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, said, “The successful subscription of the Altiva Hybrid Long-Short Fund reflects the rising appetite among investors for resilient, solution-oriented products that blend stability with tax efficiency. This success reinforces the trend toward structured, multi-strategy funds capable of delivering consistent returns across market cycles. At Edelweiss AMC, we are committed to launching differentiated products backed by rigorous research and disciplined execution, and will continue introducing innovative SIF strategies for our investors.”
Deepak Jain, President & Head – Sales at Edelweiss Asset Management, added, “The overwhelming participation from individual and corporate investors highlights strong confidence in our multi-strategy approach. We are excited about the journey ahead and our vision to create all-weather, tax-efficient investment products that cater to evolving investor needs.”
The Altiva Hybrid Long-Short Fund follows an interval investment strategy, combining a core allocation in equity arbitrage and high-quality fixed income with selective opportunities in special situations such as IPOs, buybacks, open offers, mergers, pair trades, and low-risk derivative strategies like covered calls and straddles. This multi-pronged approach is designed to generate smoother, income-oriented returns irrespective of market direction in the medium term.
Structured as an interval fund, the scheme allows daily subscriptions and redemptions twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays), with a minimum application of ₹10 lakh. Investment options include lump sum, SIP, STP, and SWP. Being under the SIF framework, it offers tax efficiency, with long-term capital gains taxed at 12.5% after a 24-month holding period.
With its strong debut, the Altiva Hybrid Long-Short Fund positions Edelweiss Mutual Fund at the forefront of innovative, multi-strategy, and tax-optimized investment solutions, appealing to investors seeking stable yet flexible returns.
