Company eyes wider footprint in chronic and senior wellness segment
BENGALURU, Nov 13 (The CONNECT) – Health-tech startup Praan Health has raised ₹8.5 crore in a seed funding round led by Rainmatter Investments, with participation from WEH Ventures and prominent angel investors including PhysicsWallah founders Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, and D2C entrepreneur Arjun Vaidya.
Founded in 2024 by Navneeth Ramprasad, a former product lead at Netflix and Meta, Praan Health focuses on preventive and lifestyle-first chronic care for parents aged fifty and above. Its approach combines physician-led supervision, personalised nutrition, and structured strength-training programmes designed to manage and reverse conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, and osteoporosis, while enhancing long-term strength and mobility.
The new funding will enable Praan Health to strengthen its technology platform, expand its clinical and coaching teams, and scale its operations across major Indian cities. The company also plans to enhance its data-driven monitoring systems and community engagement initiatives to deliver measurable health outcomes for families seeking sustainable preventive care solutions.
Since its inception, Praan Health has supported over 1,500 families and delivered more than 50,000 personalised sessions. Its integrated model brings together doctors, nutritionists, physiotherapists, and certified coaches to promote home-based, habit-forming wellness instead of reactive hospital-centric care.
Announcing the investment, CEO Navneeth Ramprasad said the company’s vision is to “help parents live stronger for longer” by transforming healthcare from episodic treatment to everyday strength and vitality. The latest funding marks a key milestone in Praan Health’s journey to redefine chronic and senior care through innovation, empathy, and evidence-based preventive health.
