Lush Goes for India Push

British beauty brand expands India footprint with winter product lineup

BENGALURU, Dec 16 (The CONNECT): British cosmetics brand Lush on Tuesday announced the launch of its Winter Line-Up in India, now available on Lush.in, bringing together a range of haircare, skincare and bodycare products aimed at addressing dryness and damage associated with colder months.

The seasonal range features several of Lush’s global bestsellers alongside long-standing core products, with formulations built around essential oils, plant-based ingredients and ethically sourced materials. The company said the winter collection reflects its focus on handmade products, simple formulations and responsible sourcing.

“This winter collection reflects Lush’s commitment to ethical beauty and effective formulations,” said Vishal Anand, Founder and CEO of Bilberry Brands, the exclusive licensee partner for Lush in India. “We have used responsibly sourced ingredients such as Turkish rose absolute, Sicilian lemon and botanical oils in products designed to protect and nourish skin and hair during winter.”

Among the headline products is Wasabi Shan Kui Shampoo (Rs. 1,795), one of Lush’s highest-selling shampoos globally, with over 7.4 tonnes sold in FY24. Formulated with wasabi and horseradish purée to stimulate the scalp, along with Epsom salts and lemon juice, the shampoo is positioned as a solution for dull or limp hair in cold weather.

Another standout is Super Milk Conditioning Spray (Rs. 2,495), a leave-in hair product that Lush says sells one bottle every 40 seconds worldwide. The lightweight spray combines almond, coconut and oat milks with heat-protective ethyl macadamiate to aid detangling and styling without heaviness.

The winter haircare range also includes Glory Conditioner (Rs. 1,595), developed for curly and coily hair using coconut cream, okra gel and castor oil; Daddy-O Shampoo (Rs. 1,495), formulated with violet pigments to maintain blonde and grey hair; and Happy Happy Joy Joy Conditioner (Rs. 1,895), made with rose water from Turkey and Tunisian neroli.

On the skincare front, Celestial (Rs. 3,995) — Lush’s bestselling facial moisturiser since 1996 — features almond oil, almond milk, illipe butter and Fair Trade organic cocoa butter in a self-preserving formula designed for sensitive skin. Eau Roma Water Toner (Rs. 1,395), an alcohol-free blend of lavender and rose water, targets winter redness and dryness.

Bodycare offerings include Ro’s Argan (Rs. 1,095), an in-shower body moisturiser with cocoa butter and argan oil, and Rose Jam Shower Gel (Rs. 1,695), made with Turkish rose absolute, vanilla pod infusion and Sicilian lemon oil.

Lush said all products in the winter range are handmade using fresh ingredients, approved safe synthetics and essential oils sourced from small-scale producers, including vanilla farmers in Uganda and Tanzania and neroli growers in Tunisia.
