GORAKHPUR, June 13 (The CONNECT) – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday listened to complaints of about 500 people during the Janata Darshan held at Gorakhnath temple and directed the administration and police officers present to ensure time-bound, fair and satisfactory redressal of their complaints.

He personally approached the people seated on chairs in front of the Mahant Digvijayanath Smriti Bhavan inside the temple grounds and listened to each person’s issues one at a time.

“There is no need to worry because the resolution of everyone’s problems will be ensured in any case”, he said.

People spoke about their issues in front of the Chief Minister during the Janata Darshan, and several women brought request letters pertaining to land disputes. A few among them complained that goons were attempting to encroach upon their land. In response to these complaints, the Chief Minister directed officials to take strict action.

He stated, “Those involved in forcibly seizing land should be identified as land mafias and dealt with severely. Actions should be taken against those who encroach on the land of any poor individual in such a way that it serves as an example.”

He mentioned that the resolution of land disputes should be carried out diligently to ensure satisfaction for the aggrieved individuals.

On requests for financial help for treatment, CM Yogi assured them that no one’s treatment would stop due to lack of funds. He instructed the officers to expedite estimation of the treatment cost and make it available to the government at the earliest so that the funds could be released as early as possible.

Yogi also blessed children accompanying families and encouraged them to study hard. The chief minister distributed chocolates to them.

During the Janata Darshan, there was a couple who had come not seeking a resolution to any problem, but with a desire to have their seven-month-old daughter’s ‘Annaprashana’ (first food) ceremony conducted by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself. Fulfilling their wish, the Chief Minister took the child in his lap and fed her sweet rice pudding (Kheer) while caressing and blessing the baby girl with his love and blessings.

Meanwhile, adding to the road development initiatives in the state, the Yogi government has initiated extensive measures for the expansion, strengthening, and beautification of the state’s roads on a large scale.

With a vision to transform Uttar Pradesh into ’Uttam Pradesh’, the double-engine government is focusing on smooth and safe road travel, reduced travel time, and promoting infrastructure growth in the state.

Significant progress has been made in widening and strengthening three state highways in the state. Additionally, funds have been approved for the completion of works related to the construction of three bridges in Agra and six in Bareilly, along with the removal of identified black spots in many areas of the state.

In an effort to enhance the development of state highways, the Yogi government has approved a total budget of Rs 58 crores for ongoing projects on three state highways and initiated the allocation process.

In this sequence, the process has been initiated to release a funding amount of Rs. 50 crore for converting the road connecting Kaushambi to Prayagraj Airport into a four-lane road,

Rs 4 crore each for widening the Bharatganj-Pratappur road from Prayagraj, and the realignment and for the widening of the Chiraiyakot Belthara Road in Azamgarh to a dual-lane road for a stretch of 39.6 kilometers.

The Public Works Department has issued orders to release Rs 46.0 crores in the first instalment and Rs 12.4 crores in the second instalment.

A total budget of Rs 4.54 crores has been passed for the construction of three bridges in the Agra Mandal region approved between 2018 and 2022.

An allocation of Rs 9.02 crore has been approved for the construction of six different bridges in Bareilly, and a budget of Rs 1.10 crore has been allocated for the construction of a new bridge in Basti.

The process of taking action regarding the removal of black spots identified in accident-prone areas and the beautification of the road is going on continuously. In this sequence, an amount of Rs 1.74 crore has been approved for the removal of marked black spots on Hasanpur-based routes in Amroha district and also marked black spots on the Bilgram Sandi-Alalganj road in Hardoi.

The same allocated amount will also be utilized for the strengthening of intersections along the relevant road stretches. Notably, similar processes for the eradication of black spots are also underway in other parts of the state.

To utilize the state property funds, the process of allocation of an estimated amount of Rs 10.63 crores, for the transformation of 35 routes in various districts of the Prayagraj division approved between 2021 and 2023, has been approved by the Public Works Department to ensure their timely progress.

This fund will be utilized for the construction, strengthening, and maintenance of proposed roads in different districts, including 6 in Fatehpur, 9 in Pratapgarh, 8 in Kaushambi, and a total of 12 in Prayagraj.

Additionally, the Department of Public Works is making extensive efforts, as directed by the state government, to create entry-exit points on highways and establish welcome gates along the corridors of major religious tourism sites.
