A distinguished professional with over 36 years of experience in security, intelligence, and resource management, Ajmal brings a wealth of expertise to his role, further strengthening Gruner’s commitment to security and operational excellence in the renewable energy sector.
Ajmal began his career in 1984 after successfully clearing the UPSC examination for the Central Police Organisation, joining the Border Security Force (BSF) as an Assistant Commandant and advancing to the rank of Inspector General.
Throughout his tenure with the BSF, Ajmal demonstrated exceptional leadership, directing operations along India’s strategic borders with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar. His dedication and accomplishments in high-stakes environments earned him prestigious recognitions, including the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Services in 2011 and the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2018. Notably, during the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35(A), he was appointed as BSF in-charge in Kashmir, successfully implementing government policies and ensuring stability.
