UP Milky Way: Rs 35K Cr Investments, One Lakh Jobs Coming

Yogi Orders Fast-Track Execution Of Dairy, Livestock MoU

Yogi Adityanath gears up UP for dairy, livestock, horticulture revolution to upbring Annadaatas

LUCKNOW, Feb 18 (The CONNECT) – Investors have agreed to invest more than Rs 35,000 crores in dairy and livestock with a potential to create over a lakh jobs. More than Rs 31,000 crores will be invested in the dairy sector, and over Rs 4,400 crores will be invested in livestock.

Based on the MoU and investment proposals received, more than 72,000 new jobs will be created in the dairy sector. At the same time, the livestock sector will provide over 32,000 job opportunities.

A five-member committee has been formed under the guidance of the Animal Husbandry Department to implement the investment proposals.

This committee will now work to ensure that 1051 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in the dairy sector and 1432 investment proposals in the livestock sector are implemented as soon as possible.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to ensure that the groundbreaking ceremony is organized while the proposals are implemented as soon as possible.

The Yogi government has been emphasizing milk production and processing, and livestock promotion. The investment proposals in this sector will provide enormous employment opportunities.

CM Yogi has given clear instructions to the officers to cooperate with the investors in every way and provide all kinds of facilities related to establishing their enterprises through the single window system. Along with this, ensure that investor applications are processed on time so that entrepreneurs do not have to face any trouble.

Our ‘Annadatas’ should also emphasize the cultivation of horticultural crops to increase their income. Uttar Pradesh has ample water resources and abundant fertile land to enable cultivation of horticulture and medicinal crops, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday.

While addressing the progressive farmers after visiting the 54th Regional Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Exhibition organized at Raj Bhavan on Friday, the Chief Minister said that North India’s biggest fruit and flower exhibition is held for three days in the premises of Raj Bhavan. As envisioned by PM Modi, farmers must involve themselves in the cultivation of horticulture crops as they have more potential in increasing their income.

“Nature has given our farmers ample water resources and fertile land. Our state with 11 percent agricultural land of the country meets the food grain needs of 20 percent of India’s population. Horticulture crops contribute 25 percent to our food providers’ agricultural GDP. Such exhibitions provide a new platform for progressive farmers. I heartily thank the Horticulture Department for this,”  the CM said.
