Youngsters are the soul of the country; and Vivekanand lives in them, says Telangana Governor
HYDERABAD, Jan 12 (The CONNECT) - The Indian Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) announced two new Certificate Courses -on Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and Goods & Services Tax.
Ashish Garg national president of the Institute, acclaimed for promoting excellence in Corporate Governance, said it has come up with a “Model Governance Code for Meetings of Gram Panchayats” which seeks to prescribe a set of principles for convening and conducting meetings of Gram Panchayats and matters related thereto.
He was addressing media on the sidelines of the YUVOTSAV 2021, 21st National Conference of Student Company Secretaries today.
Yuvotsav, was the first major youth hybrid event—both in person(physical) and virtual to be held during the COVID following strict protocols as laid down by the government.
It is the organised by the Hyderabad Chapter of The Institute of Companies Secretaries of India (ICSI).
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Telangana Governor was the Chief Guest while G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs was the guest of honour.
N. Ramchander Rao, MLC; Prof. SM Rahmatullah, In-charge Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad Urdu University; Ashish Garg, National President of ICSI and S. Kannan, Chairman, ICSI SIRC(South India Regional Council) attended the inaugural function.
Addressing the gathering Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan told the youth “Be the charge and be the change and believe in the best”.
Recalling what Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan once said, Swami Vivekanand lives in every soul of the country, the Governor opined that youngsters are the soul of the country; and Vivekanand lives in them.
Youth has talent in abundance which has to be channelised properly, said Union Minister Reddy.
