HYDERABAD, Feb 26 (The CONNECT) – Uttar Dakshin Concert is to be held in the city on March 1 at JNAFAU Auditorium, Masab Tank, at 6 PM bringing together two legendary maestros—Pandit Ronu Majumdar on the flute and Vidwan R. Kumaresh, the celebrated violinist. from the Carnatic music tradition.
This much-awaited Jugalbandi will be organised jointly by Vivid Arts and Surmandal Hyderabad.
Pandit Ronu Majumdar, one of India’s most revered flautists, was recently honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri for his contributions to Indian classical music.
Despite coming from two distinct classical traditions, both artists share a profound belief that the difference in styles is not a challenge but rather the richness of Indian classical music.
Adding to this grand musical confluence will be V. Narhari on the Tabla and Tumkur Ravishankar on the mridangam, whose rhythmic brilliance will further elevate the concert.
