‘The initiative aligns with the company’s core values of passion, empathy, integrity, and sustainability.’
NEW DELHI, May 8 (The CONNECT)- Hoonartek today announced its partnership with Computer Shiksha, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing free computer literacy to underserved communities.
As part of this initiative, Hoonartek has donated 15 laptops, which will be refurbished and deployed in schools across India. This contribution directly supports Computer Shiksha’s mission to empower 25 crore students by 2047, in celebration of India’s centenary of Independence.
These laptops will be utilised within Computer Shiksha’s Model-2 and Model-3 programs. The Model-2 Program involves establishing complete computer labs in carefully selected schools, encompassing intensive school selection, an 8-day teacher training program, and ongoing support to ensure students receive structured computer literacy education for 1 to 3 years. The Model-3 MagicBox Program utilises a teacher-less model, where preloaded courseware on devices enables schools to deliver computer literacy classes with minimal setup.
According to Mr Peeyoosh, CEO, Hoonartek, the company is confident that this partnership will have a lasting and positive impact on the lives of countless young people.
Hoonartek’s contribution underscores its commitment to bridging the digital divide and empowering the next generation with essential digital skills, ensuring no child is left behind in the journey toward a digitally inclusive India. This initiative aligns with Hoonartek’s core values of Passion, Empathy, Integrity, and Sustainability, aiming to create a lasting impact on the communities it serves.
Rakesh Suri, Founder President, Computer Shiksha, said, with the support of organisations like Hoonartek, “we can effectively bridge the digital divide and empower millions of children with the essential skills they need to succeed in the 21st century”.
He appealed to other businesses and individuals in the tech industry to join the NGO in this endeavour and contribute to building a more inclusive and equitable digital future for all.
