Double engine govt executes projects worth Rs 3200 crores in Rampur, says CM Yogi
RAMPUR, Sep 4 (The CONNECT) - Launching a veiled attack on the Samajwadi Party in Rampur on Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the ‘Rampuri Chaaku’ that got into wrong hands earlier and became a means of exploitation, today, with BJP’s positive intent is ensuring security of common man, women, youth, traders and is inviting investment.
While launching as many as 22 development projects worth Rs 72 crore in Rampur, Yogi Adityanath said, “till 10-12 years, the ruling governments treated Rampur as their ‘den for satisfying their selfish motives. No schemes, or projects were implemented for the development of the region and it was just reduced to a place having no identity, adding, “The faith of people in BJP here will take the region to new heights.”
Yogi said the state government has also encouraged Rampur’s violin, Rampuri knife, Rampuri Topi, Zardozi and other related products to the handicrafts industry by linking them with programmes like Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana and ODOP – one district, one product.
The CM said that Rampur residents have paved the way for a new era by being in favour of development, security and prosperity and have given a clear message to those who exploited the land which had its own mythological and historical identity.
Assuring the people that the double-engine government will continue working with a development-oriented approach, Yogi said that both central and state governments will ensure that benefits of the welfare schemes reach every person without any kind of discrimination on the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’.
The contribution of every section of the society ranging from craftsmen, artisans, youth, women, farmers, traders, and labourers is essential for the prosperity and the growth of the nation, the CM on the occasion also called upon the people to work together with the government for making India prosperous and self-reliant by inviting investment and generating employment opportunities.
“In last 5.5 years, we completed projects worth Rs 3200 crores in Rampur and various programmes were begun to bring a new identity to the region. Similarly, apart from all other projects, incentives were provided to encourage investment. In the last 8 months, 20 new industrial units have been established in Rampur. In these, an investment of Rs 540 crore has been made and 600 people have been directly employed while 4500 people have received indirect employment. Besides, three industrial units have also been set up giving employment to 1200 people,” the CM pointed out.
During his visit to Bijnor Yogi said that "the people of the state brought us into power again as we fulfilled all our promises". He also instructed them to accelerate work on ongoing projects while ensuring that growth reaches all sections of the society.
The CM also directed the public representatives to work so that every person gets benefited from government schemes and that development takes place in all districts, villages and even far-flung areas without any kind of discrimination
