NEW DELHI, Jan 4 (The CONNECT) – Meghalaya has emerged as the second runners-up in Categiry-B at the ODOP – One District One Product – Awards 2023, organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar inaugurated the The Aatmanirbhar Bharat Utsav and National ODOP Awards event. The awards intend to celebrate the incredible efforts of states/UTs, districts, & Indian missions in fulfilling the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat through the ODOP initiative.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said, the award is a motivation for the farmers and skilled artisans, who are making efforts to get their unique products showcased on the national and international platform.
Dr. Vijay Kumar D, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary, Government of Meghalaya accepted the award.
