Indo-American chamber will promote ‘local to global’ initiatives of Government of India, especially in clean environment products
HYDERABAD, Oct 12 (The CONNECT) -The Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chapter of Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) will promote startups on global platforms.
Dr Ramkumar Rudrabhatla, newly elected chairman of the organization, said “We would also be promoting women-led startups”.
The pandemic compelled several working women to seek alternate means of livelihood including promotion of start-ups. IACC shall endeavour to encourage and integrate such women entrepreneurs to international markets. Besides, IACC shall promote "local to global" initiatives of Government of India especially in clean environment products, he said.
Dr Ramkumar, who is also the Managing Director of P & P Nexgen Tech Pvt. Ltd, has emphasized that the new committee’s focus would be on promoting innovative startups to global markets.
India needs more than a 100 million jobs every year and most of these are generated by startups, not big enterprises. Startup entrepreneurship is crucial because it also brings innovations, new jobs and competitive dynamics into the business environment and enterprises, he explained and pointed out “Today's startup are tomorrow MNCs”.
Until now, he said, no organisation in India has ever focused to promote our startups on international forum.
Dr. Ramkumar, who succeeds Vijaya Sai Meka, held Senior Management positions in several multinational companies and was a Consultant with World Bank projects. His experience covered Singapore, USA, Middle East and India.
The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), established in 1968, is the bi-lateral Chamber synergizing India-US Economic Engagement. IACC promotes Indo-American business, trade and economic relations. IACC AP & TS is one of the most vibrant Chapters under IACC.
