Vocational training major EduBridge goes online with E-ON

Targets to train one million youth through job-focused portal

It offers job-relevant courses in trending sectors such as BPO, Retail, Advanced IT, Banking, and Finance. Some of the courses are subsidized since they are funded by corporate partners through their CSR budgets.

MUMBAI, Sep 9 (BNC Network) Skill development and vocational training major EduBridge India is marking its entry into the Educational Technology space through E-ON, the in-house digital arm. It will provide learners a high-quality education from the comfort of their homes, anytime, anywhere, and with any device.

Launched on Teachers Day, aims to train one million youth from different corners of the country in the next two years through 250+ courses delivered by 5000+ trainers online. EduBridge is an industry leader in employment linked skilling, has already trained 1,50,000 youth in the last 10 years through 100+ Career Academies.

India has more than 15 million youth, who are looking to enter the workforce each year but are not employable, per government data. In 2020, COVID-19 has only aggravated the situation. With the global paradigm shift towards virtual learning, there is a clear need for players in the market who not only train the workforce of the country online but also help them get their dream jobs. E-ON will help in accelerating this by reaching out to every corner of India through their high-end skill and career development programs.

The online education market in India was valued at INR 39 billion in 2018 and is expected to reach INR 360.3 billion by 2024, expanding at a CAGR of ~43.85%. Also, the government has proposed providing about Rs 99,300 crore for the education sector in 2020-21 and Rs 3,000 crore for skill development in this year's annual budget announcement.

Aligned with the demand, E-ON learning experience is designed to be holistic in nature and offers support that students need across the entire Career Development continuum from counseling, to training and placements. It offers job-relevant courses in trending sectors such as BPO, Retail, Advanced IT, Banking, and Finance. Some of the courses are subsidized since they are funded by corporate partners through their CSR budgets.

The courses are primarily meant for youth in the 18 – 30 age group.
