Navi Mum Airport Conducted Test Flights Without Aerodrome License

We broke this story 13 days ago: Navi Mumbai International Limited (NMIAL) is yet to apply for licensing from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), information received under the Right To Information (RTI) Act shows.

Now, Financial Express reports that the DGCA is meeting the NMIAL stakeholders today that to assess the airport’s operational preparedness for obtaining an aerodrome licence.

A DGCA aerodrome licence is an official certification confirming that an airport meets all necessary safety, operational and infrastructural requirements to conduct air transport operations, FE said.
