‘Focus Goes Where Energy Goes And Vice Versa’
Mentally strong people don’t complain; If you keep complaining your brain shrinks, says singer-turned mindfulness speaker Raageshwari Loomba.
HYDERABAD, July 11 (The CONNECT) – Stuck by Bell’s palsy, singer-turned mindfulness speaker Raageshwari Loomba got inspired by Golden Budha in Thailand and learnt that inside ‘we all are golden’.
Bell’s palsy is an unexplained episode of facial muscle weakness or paralysis, according to hopkinsmedicine.org. It begins suddenly and worsens over 48 hours. This condition results from damage to the facial nerve (the 7th cranial nerve). Pain and discomfort usually occur on one side of the face or head.
“When I was confronted with such a challenge, I had no way but to accept it and do everything to come back,” said Raageshwari addressing FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) here on “How to Live Your Best Life”.
“That is when I came to know about the incredible story of Golden Budha in Thailand and learnt that inside we all are golden… If you are negative, you don’t let our good light shine. We need to be positive…Mentally strong people don’t complain. If you keep complaining your brain shrinks,” she said.
Giving an example of Billionaire Richard Branson, Raageshwari said, he is a huge fan of ‘yes’. No one working in that company says ‘no’.
She started her conversation with a slide that read “Limit is not in the sky. It is in your mind”.
She said focus goes where energy goes and vice versa. Focus on amazing things in your life, she told her audience. “Eighty per cent of our daily thoughts are negative. You must unleash your brain power to be positive,” she said.
Our body is an amazing equipment. It has a solution to every problem we face. We must learn to use our inner strengths, she said.
When asked about how to have healthy relationships using social media, she said the greatest friends are those we can cry with and not those whom we party with.
Bedridden for four years and rehabilitated with physiotherapy and yoga, Raageshwari is back in reckoning, said Ritu Shah, Chairperson of FLO. Mental well-being is of paramount importance, she said.
During those traumatic times, the Singer Raageshwari Loomba changed the way she looked at life. A born fighter, Raageshwari bounced back to take on every challenge head-on and her journey is very inspiring, Ritu Shah said.
