United in consensus and spirit, we pledge to work collaboratively for a better, more prosperous, and harmonious future. My gratitude to all fellow G20 members for their support and cooperation.”
“We reiterate our commitment to the G20 as the premier forum for global economic cooperation and its continued operation in the spirit of multilateralism, on the basis of consensus, with all members participating on an equal footing in all its events including Summits,” the leaders said.
Acknowledging the disproportionate impact of climate change, biodiversity loss, desertification and pollution on all women and girls, the leaders called for accelerating climate action with gender equality at its core. To this end, they said, “we will Support and increase women’s participation, partnership, decision-making and leadership in climate change mitigation and adaptation, and disaster risk reduction, strategies and policy frameworks on environmental issues”.
