The ITCH Summit 2024, which concluded recently, was organised for the student community of Miles SoBA and media & advertising aspirants from across the country to provide them with the knowledge and inspiration needed to do good for themselves and the society. FTCCI‘s The Environment Committee organized a programme on the most sought-after subject Carbon Footprint and Reporting in the city on Thursday in Federation house in Red Hills.
Speaking on the occasion Meela Jayadev, President of FTCCI said sustainability is no longer a choice but a necessity, understanding and mitigating our carbon footprint has become paramount. Today’s program aims to delve into the intricacies of carbon footprint measurement, reporting, and the pivotal role it plays in shaping our environmental responsibilities.
The importance of reducing carbon emissions and adopting sustainable practices cannot be overstated, Jayadev added. This program serves as a platform for us to learn from experts, and share insights and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.
Carbon footprint reporting holds importance in the sustainability journey of the industry for several reasons. The first step in the journey is measurement and reporting. It helps the organization to measure and capture the data accurately of the greenhouse gas emissions; said G. Bala Subramanyam, Chair of the Environment Committee of FTCCI.
eSevak, an AI-based WhatsApp chatbot developed in collaboration with CoRover.ai, has been launched by Samba Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma at Jammu. eSevak enables citizens to directly communicate their grievances to department heads, facilitating prompt redressal and ensuring the quality disposal of public issues. This innovative solution promises to revolutionize citizen-government interactions by providing a seamless and accessible platform for grievance redressal.
The solution is one of the key highlights among many initiatives introduced in the suite of digital services aimed at enhancing public convenience and modernizing administrative processes. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the unveiling of several key digital interventions aimed at improving service delivery and administrative efficiency.
These include the installation of CCTV cameras across all tehsil offices, the implementation of e-office systems up to the naib tehsildar level, and the digitization of revenue records. Additionally, a state-of-the-art digital record room equipped with advanced scanning and printing facilities was unveiled, further streamlining administrative processes.
