Announces Scholarships Up To Rs 2 Cr

Mumbai, 28 January 2023: EdTech platform TimesPro has opened applications for TimesPro scholarships of up to Rs 2 crores for meritorious learners from economically weaker sections of society to help them upskill themselves with industry-centric skills and fulfil their career aspirations.

The scholarship programme will support 400+ learners, per year, with TimesPro’s early career programmes offered across BFSI, e-Commerce, and technology sectors and will also assist them with placement opportunities.

The Core Committee of TimesPro Scholarship Programme will screen eligible students through an application process, validate their documents and award scholarships to deserving candidates who are unable to financially provide for their education and upskilling needs.

These candidates will get a provision to choose from a variety of skilling programmes across BFSI, e-Commerce, technology, Supply Chain management etc. TimesPro will also provide the learners with placement assistance across sectors in line with the programmes they have registered.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must be Indian nationals and graduates with the requisite cut-off marks in required in each stream for non-technical courses and technical courses. The age criteria must also be met for the respective course one is applying for. Importantly, family income should not collectively be more than 3,60,000 per year. The scholarship will be in the form of a waiver of complete fees for the course. The scholarship scheme will be sponsored by TimesPro under the aegis of the Times Employ India Foundation which will manage the entire scholarship scheme.

The core committee will comprise of Anish Srikrishna, CEO, TimesPro and Brillian S. K. CPO, TimesPro who will screen and approve scholarship applications meeting the course criteria. The TimesPro scholarship was earlier announced by Dr. Kiran Bedi and Anish Srikrishna at an event in Mumbai.
