IIFL Ahimsa Run At 85 Global Locations

JITO Ladies Wing To Host Hyderabad Lap

The IIFL Jito Ahimsa Run aims at creating awareness for a better world to stop wars and hatred.

HYDERABAD, Mar 29 (The CONNECT) – The IIFL Ahimsa Run for peace and non-violence, which is being organized across 85 locations all over the world on a single day, will be held in Hyderabad on April 2 at 5 AM. 

The IIFL Jito Ahimsa Run aims at creating awareness for a better world to stop wars, and hatred and bring peace and nonviolence in our surroundings.

More than one lakh to participate in the 85 Runs that will be held in 65 locations in India and 20 Global Locations including US and UK

This is the first time in global history that thousands of runners will join for a cause across several locations simultaneously on a single day.

This run is expected to mark its entry into the Guinness World Records and the Limca Book of Records for the most runners to run in multiple locations for the cause of non-violence.

Over 2800 participants are expected to participate in the three-run categories 3K, 5K and 10K to be held Jala Vihar, PV Narasimha Rao, Marg, Hyderabad

In Hyderabad, the 1st Edition of the run is being organized by JITO(Jain International Trade Organisation) Hyderabads Ladies Wing.  It is called “IIFL JITO AHIMSA RUN  for peace & for non-violence” JITO is a worldwide organization of businessmen, industrialists, knowledge workers, and professionals reflecting the glory of ethical business practices. JITO Ladies wing has been created to empower Jain Women. And provide a platform where all Jain women regardless of their firkas and faith can converge to create a powerful movement for benefit of all.

The total prize money for a 10K timed Run is Rs 90000 (Ninety Thousand only). The Run will start and end at the Jala Vihar Parking zone. The route for the run will be from Jala Vihar towards Sanjeevaiah park and back.

The run has been endorsed by many public personalities across India and aims to initiate the younger generation towards peace and nonviolence at an early age to create a future generation where war and violence will become a thing of the past.
