Power Cuts History Now, Says Energy Minister
Telangana growth is holistic, and inclusive, be it water, power, resources, or employment, says a top babu.

HYDERABAD, June 29 (The CONNECT)- The KCR government has achieved rapid development in the State in just nine years which would have taken 90 years for others, according to State Energy Minister Jagdish Reddy.
“And it was possible because of the foresighted policies and governance of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao,” Reddy said while inaugurating the three-day IITEX-2023 organised by the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s (FTCCI).
The Minister said the development in the State was unimaginable. Power cuts have become things of the past. Power holidays are unheard of in our state now. Not many states can boast of in India, he said.
Appreciating the maiden IITEX, he appealed to FTCCI to organize similar expos in district headquarters.
Dr E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Special Secretary, Investment Promotion & NRI Affairs, said Telangana has witnessed unprecedented growth. The growth is holistic, and inclusive, on every front be it water, power, resources, or employment, Reddy, who is also the Joint MD of Telangana State Trade Promotion Corporation (TSTPC) said.
The state is focusing on Innovation, Infrastructure and Inclusive Growth, he said.

Dr C. Tara Satyavathi, Director, Indian Institute of Millets Research (ICAR), said the country is marching from food security to nutritional security. “We have replaced millet with rice, wheat and refined floors,” she said.
Anil Agarwal, president of FTCCI, said in his welcome address that IITEX was their maiden expo and more are in the offing. The expo has 120 stalls. It is supported by ICICI, FOUR SOLAR, Quantum Energy, Standard Kitchens, World Trade Centre and Pokarna, the Government of Telangana, TSIIC, TSREDCO, IIMR, Ministry of MSME, ICRISAT, BNI, T HUB, IIP, GRID CLUB, T Works and TSTPC.
