Education Prog To Secure Life Ahead
Future Generali says mission is to empower children with knowledge, ensuring they are prepared for whatever lies ahead.
GANGTOK, Aug 19 (The CONNECT) – Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited (FGII) has launched an insurance awareness campaign for school going children in Sikkim, aimed at educating students on the importance of insurance.
The objective of this programme is to foster understanding among children at an early age, enabling them to take informed decisions with respect to securing their future, once they are independent. Additionally, children also have the ability to influence their families towards ensuring a safe and secured future by drawing their attention towards a latent need.
The campaign will include activities like providing a concise overview of insurance to all the children, educating them on how insurance can ensure their family’s future security, emphasizing the importance of insurance, and why it is essential to acquire it. The campaign be active for a fortnight, spread across 10 different schools in Gangtok. It will involve various engagements such as an essay writing competition on insurance-related topics for students.
The campaign will be active across schools like Indrakil Saraswati Vidyalaya, Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Tinples School, Ganaan School, S.S.R School Sarmasa Jalioppl Branch, S.S.R School Airport Road Gangtok, Kedzed School, Radhiant Start Academy, Holy Crown Schools and Govt. SR. Secondary Schools (Rangpo).
Ruchika Malhan Varma, Chief Marketing Officer, Future Generali India Insurance Co. Ltd. said, “Education itself is Insurance! Safeguarding the future from unknown emergencies is not just a priority but a necessity.

North-East India, including Sikkim, offers a large untapped potential for general insurance in India. The insurance awareness program in Sikkim aligns with FGII’s broader strategy of increasing insurance penetration across India. The company has been at the forefront of creating awareness about insurance and has launched several programs and initiatives across the country to achieve this objective.
