Headsup! NITIE Inks MoU For HR Solutions

For Skilled Human Capital In Logistics

Headsup and NITIE will mutually develop human capital on a large scale to address the transformation of traditional logistics to digital logistics.

MUMBAI, Apr 5 (The CONNECT) – Headsup Corporation and the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide solutions to emerging industrial problems in the promotion of the logistics sector by providing a skilled workforce. The objective of the collaboration is to mutually develop human capital on a large scale to address the transformation of traditional logistics to digital logistics.

The logistics services industry is a critical contributor to the Indian economy, providing employment opportunities and opening avenues for foreign investment. The sector plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods, which is essential for the growth of other industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, and retail. The logistics industry has been growing steadily in India, and with the rise of e-commerce, the demand for logistics services has increased even further.

Sumit Kumar, Director of Headsup Corporation, said, this MoU marks a turning point since it strengthens “our dedication to staying on top of market trends and advancements”.

India is on the cusp of becoming a global supply chain and logistics talent factory. With the right interventions, India has the potential to add over 100 million logistics workers.

Prof. Manoj K. Tiwari, Director, NITIE, said, teaching students and officers about PM Gati Shakti and National Logistics Policy is also a major focus of this association.

Adopting digital platforms and technologies such as cloud computing, blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) significantly improves the logistics sector’s overall efficiency, speed, and accuracy. To succeed in this new digital era, the logistics sector requires a comprehensive plan and new possibilities to address market demand. The shift towards digitalization requires a skilled workforce that can work with new technologies and platforms, so there is a need to invest in upskilling the current workforce. The transformation of the logistics sector presents significant growth and development opportunities, and India is well-positioned to take advantage of these opportunities.
