UP CM Yogi Adityanath to set up task force, asks officials to adhere to deadlines.
GREATER NOIDA, Sep 21 (The CONNECT) – While ensuring top quality construction of Noida International Airport, the UP government has decided to develop NOIDA into a dynamic city with a mix of a wide range of industries as well as advanced amenities.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath government will constitute a task force to develop Noida – New Okhla Industrial Development Authority. It has begun the process of selecting a knowledge partner to expedite the formation of this task force which will monitor progress reports on ongoing projects, monitoring development activities, creating a comprehensive database, identifying investment opportunities, enhancing tourist attractions, and fostering creativity within the area.
Noida, a key part of the National Capital Region (NCR), like many emerging or planned cities, faces certain challenges. To overcome these, the Yogi government plans to rebrand the city as a vibrant, self-reliant, and liveable urban community with a strong emphasis on improving the quality of life.
Meanwhile, Yogi stressed that the upcoming the Noida International Airport should maintain high-quality standards while adhering to the established timeline for its completion.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath who minutely inspected the Airport project site at Jewar on Tuesday issued essential directives to ensure timely completion. He presided over a review meeting with district administration, authority and officials of the company constructing the airport.
The Chief Minister also instructed that any issues arising during construction should be promptly communicated to the state government for resolution.
During the meeting, CM Yogi addressed issues related to land acquisition for the airport. He asked senior district officials and public representatives to speak with villagers who are facing difficulties with land acquisition and to resolve their issues peacefully.
He also emphasized that officials should ensure that no outsiders mislead the villagers about the land acquisition process. Additionally, the Chief Minister suggested that officials use the expertise of the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to help with acquiring the land needed for the airport.
The CM emphasized the importance of ensuring strong connectivity to the Noida International Airport. He instructed that all routes leading from the airport to Jewar should be well-connected. He called for the creation of an action plan to complete the work on rail, metro, and other transport facilities that will serve the airport.
CM Yogi stated that these transportation links should be ready by the time the airport is completed, ensuring seamless travel for passengers. Additionally, he highlighted the need for multi-level parking facilities at the airport to avoid any inconvenience for arriving passengers.
During the review meeting, MP Mahesh Sharma, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, Yamuna Authority officials and officials of the companies constructing Noida International Airport were present.
