SD Polymers launches plastic collection drive with women in lead.
FARIDABAD, Aug 24 (The CONNECT) – SD Polymers, a company that specialises in plastic compounding, is celebrating the 76th Independence Day with its radical and influential campaign aimed at empowering women and ensuring their safety.
The campaign is intended to accomplish two main goals: first, it seeks to empower women by highlighting the value of employment and nurturing their dreams; second, it seeks to build a systematic waste collection system to improve the safety of women who are engaged in the task of waste collection.
A female sarpanch will spearhead the campaign, highlighting the leadership qualities and contributions of women to the development and prosperity of society. While concurrently addressing a serious safety issue, the programme seeks to alter the roles of women in society.
The initiative aims to address the safety concerns women encounter when collecting trash outside of the village.
To collect waste from the village and transport it to the recycling facility, SD Polymers will deploy trained individuals—mostly men.
