Yogi Harps On Triple Engine For Civic Body Poll
Investments through UP Global Investors Summit will ensure over 50,000 jobs for Braj youth, says Yogi Adityanath.
MATHURA, Apr 29 (The CONNECT) – Criticising the previous governments for neglecting the development of Mathura, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that projects worth Rs 32,000 crore were currently underway here, which on completion would revive the grandeur and divinity of Mathura during the ‘Dwapar era’.
Addressing an election rally for the upcoming municipal polls, the Chief Minister said, “Since independence, during the tenure of various governments, the corrupt and impoverished system had halted Mathura’s development. The formation of Mathura Vrindavan Municipal Corporation in 2017 and then the Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad have taken forward the action plan of overall development in Mathura.”
Pointing out that investment proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore have been received in UP through the Global Investors Summit, the CM said that with this, over 50,000 youths are going to get employment in Braj region alone. He urged people to vote for the BJP candidate and form the triple-engine government.
The Chief Minister said: “It is my good fortune that the Mathura Vrindavan Municipal Corporation was established by our government in 2017. By forming the Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad, work has been done to take forward the action plan for the overall development of this place.
“India has changed today, and we must join this process of change as well. Today, major infrastructure and construction projects like airports, IITs, and AIIMS are finished within schedules. Places like Kashi, Ayodhya, Kedarnath, and Mahakal are rejuvenated as a result of respect for heritage. This is new India.”
Maintaining that today the country’s economy has become strong, the CM said, “Since 2014, India has become self-sufficient. The potential of UP and that of this new India must be combined.”
The Chief Minister continued by saying that Jawahar Bagh had once been a ‘hub of hooliganism.’ “Today, the situation is in front of all of you. Earlier, there used to be riots in Kosi Kala. Now, the world’s largest manufacturing plant PepsiCo has been set up in Kosi Kala.”
“Our government completely banned the sale of meat-liquor in Mathura and Vrindavan. No one is allowed to play with the sanctity of this place. Not only in Ayodhya, but also in Braj, the “84 Kosi parikrama” will take place “, he added.
Stating that the development of Banke Bihari’s Dham will be done on the lines of Kashi, the CM said: “It is our responsibility to bring back the splendor of Barsana, Gokul, and Govardhan. This municipal election is important from this point of view.
Lambasting the previous government, the CM said, “Before 2017, people belonging to a particular party used to roam around with ‘tamanchas’ in hands. Today the youth have tablets in their hands. Earlier there used to be terror of miscreants, today it is a safe city. Earlier there used to be heaps of garbage, today it is a smart city.”
